In November, when we were demonstrating how to use the Weaver’s Perfect Memory at The Artists Hand, the resident weaver, Sandy Trimble, asked Alan if he had thought about creating a support for the tool, so that it wouldn’t jostle when weaving. As a matter of fact, Alan had considered this but had yet to design it. As they discussed it, Alan was inspired to get right on it and, in less than 2 weeks, Alan designed and built the loom ledge. It is the first optional accessory for the Weaver’s Perfect Memory.
Our interaction with Sandy and her students is just what we are hoping will happen moving forward.
And, as weavers use their Weaver’s Perfect Memory, we welcome their ideas and suggestions. One of the values underpinning our work is to continuously improve. Our sole purpose is to enable the process of weaving cloth, as designed by the weaver, with ease. The Weaver’s Perfect Memory makes it possible for weavers to free their mind to focus on the creative aspects of weaving, knowing that the Weaver’s Perfect Memory will track their place on the treadling draft.
The loom ledge is custom made to fit the loom castle.
